Diane started quilting when she was gifted these blocks made by her grandmother. It was around 1995. She took a class at quilts etc., put the quilt together and was hooked. |

February's Trip Around the World took us to Panama. Vanessa showed us examples of Molas owned by her mom. |
She also gave us a lot of information about the Cuna Indians in Panama who make these colorful molas. |
Vanessa learned how to do a modified mola technique in another group |
Knit fabric is placed over a colorful fabric and then the design is cutaway. Big stitch is use to stitch the design down |
