November 2019

November's meeting began with Peggy and Maja telling us about a project to use orphan blocks to make quilts for charity.  Next year we will be challenged to make quilts from orphan blocks for elderly people in nursing homes.

There were a large variety of ideas that people came up with to use up orphan blocks.

They will be approximately 45 x 60.

Then Cathie gave a program to explain points on good binding techniques. Thanks to Cody M.  all members present received  one of her books explaining all the details of award winning bindings.
Jill gave us some information about a swap exchange we will do next year.

Jan told us about a new basting product from Alex Anderson. It is a powder rather than a spray, so you don't have to worry about inhaling the fumes of the spray basting products.
