Our meeting Thursday night was a very good one and yielded soooo much eye candy! First members reported on a recent overnight quilting retreat. It sounded wonderful. Many thanks to Donna who organized it and Linda for her wonderful mystery project. Twelve members attended, but I'm betting there will be a good deal more at the next retreat! It's amazing how many very different quilts can be made from the same pattern. Enjoy the pictures!

 Aren't they wonderful!
Next order of business was discussing the upcoming Festival of Trees. Our guild is donating a tree as well as a spool quilt made by the members. We will show the tree and quilt in a future post. Here is a picture of some of our members hard at work on the tree ornaments.
Now on to show and tell.
Is this block gorgeous or what! That's hand applique!
Carma shared her Halloween quilt.
Brenda brought a couple of lovely, fun quilts.

Donna made this beautiful quilt. Her quilting is amazing!
Marrial brought her quilt made of block designed by Bonnie Hunter called Weed Whacker. She used the scraps to piece the border.
Becky shared a wonderful harvest apron.
Barbara showed us a beautiful baby afghan that she is crocheting, as well as two quilts using the same blocks in different colorways.

Jill showed a pin cushion and a bag made to carry a cutting board, ruler, and rotary cutter.
Kari announced that she has a block in the new issue of Quiltmaker's 100 Blocks. Congratulations Kari!
Tina showed a wonderful quilt she will be donating.
Last but by no means least Dianne presented a program on three dimensional quilting. She is amazing and the information was interesting and very informative. Here are a few samples of her beautiful work.

So sorry to be so late with the October meeting report! We had a wonderful meeting with many great reports about the Utah Quilt Guild Annual Meeting and some totally awesome show and tell, so without further ado...here's the eye candy! Thanks to President Tina for the pictures!

Our next meeting is Thursday, November 11. Please remember to bring your spool blocks and materials for Diane's tutorial!
