February Meeting 2021

This month's meeting was on Zoom and was called Scrapalicious. Peggy and a few others put on the meeting. I was not able to make the meeting, and am sorry I missed it because I love scrap quilts. Here are the pictures that have been sent in.

The following few pictures are some finishes by Linda.

Dianne G's Christmas fabrics all organized.

Clear plastic shoe organizer to organize pieces smaller than a fat quarter in Cathie's sewing room.

Scrap block taught by Virginia. Each cut piece measures 2 x 3.5

New addition to Diane's mini quilt wall

Diane said the color red in this wall hanging lifts her spirits when she looks at it

This red and white top is Barbara's version of the Quilty Girl Mystery that Peggy had for Sandy Stitchers on New Years Day!

This is a photo of a scrap quilt Barbara made years ago. She wanted to share it since our program was on scrap quilting. Our presenters called it a crumb quilt because it used lots of little scraps.

January 2021

Our speaker for January was Marianne Ballash.  She shared her knowledge on tiny piecing tips and showed us a trunk show. Members shared show and tell and will be sending pictures along soon. We will be doing a tabletopper of the month this year instead of  a block of the month. Leanna showed us the first table topper. All of the information about the meeting is in Leanna's email which was very thorough.

Two examples of Marianne's tiny quilts. Precision is important when working with tiny pieces. There is not a very big margin for error. Marianne uses paper plates to keep her cut pieces organized. She can then stack the plates when she is not working on her project and everything is in order.

A bargello quilt by Marianne. She likes to use best press and a mister on her tiny pieces.

Cathie's rail road sign block for our auction quilt. Jill is putting this together for us so it will be ready to be quilted soon.
