Progress on our block of the month by Dianne.

Our guest speaker was Craig from Quilts Etc. "Quilting from a Man's Perspective" This is a handmade Lone Star quilt made by one of his relatives that inspired him to quilt.

Quilt Craig made for his grand daughter. He enlarged the animals, designed the border and quilted it on his long arm.

Quilt for his son. Craig sometimes uses Pinterest to get ideas for quilts.

Used leftovers on back of quilt. Craigs tip: Plan your pieced backs to be off center. It is hard to center them for long arm machine quilting.

Another one of Craig's quilts. he likes to use 80/20 for batting and likes bamboo batting. He says the bamboo hangs nice on the bed and does not shrink.

The back is a houndstooth design
