Aprils meeting was sharing ideas for organizing your sewing room, projects and supplies. IKEA is a favorite place for Jill to get gadgets for organizing supplies

She uses cute jars from the dollar store to organize her buttons

Virgina generously gave 3 of these panels away to members. Her tip was to get metal trips foundd at Harbour Freight. You can hang your scissors up on it and they are easy to find that way.

Shelley keeps a Quilting journal which includes all the details about quilts she has made. She includes notes on the inspiration for a quilt and a picture of the quilt, date finished, to whom she gave it etc.

Tracy told us about her trip to the DeYoung Museum in San Francisco. The exhibit of Gee's Bend quilts was fabulous.

Rolene's tip was to put tiny hair scrunchies on bobbins to keep them from unwinding.

Barbara shared that she keeps a sub folder in photos on her computer for quilt ideas

Marsha found a way to keep her patterns organized and easy to flip through was to put them in binders in plastic protectors She also uses Sterlite chests to store fabric.  She has also alphabetized her list of quilt books.

If you have a lot of small scraps you can sort them by color in a see through shoe organizer. Or you could put tools in it and hang it on the back of your sewing room door.  This tip comes compliments of Cathie's mother!
