September Meeting

Thursday evening was our monthly meeting featuring our semiannual potluck. So let's start out making you hungry. The food was wonderful!

Here are two lovely examples of the many quilts members of the guild have donated to the earthquake survivors in Haiti.
Josephine was our challenge winner! Congratulations!!! Your quilt was exceptional.

Brenda and Kathi presented Septembers blocks for block of the month. You will recognize the Bunny Hill applique block.

Kari shows some of her finished blocks.
Now for some show and tell  eye candy! Sylvia made this darling quilt for a little neighbor.
Kathi made the next two quilts. The first one is hard to see in the picture, but it's made entirely from hand stitched linen pillow covers that are over 100 years old. She made it for a friend who owns the covers and wanted them in a quilt.
Diane made this cute wall hanging to honor a wonderful pet who is getting old.
This quilt top was made by Becky. The blocks are a year long block of the month sponsored by a local quilt shop. Becky added the lovely hand embroidery.

Last but not least, each year our guild contributes a gift basket to the Utah Quilt Guild annual meeting. This year our basket includes a beautiful doll created by the organizer, Dianne, as well as many wonderful pin cushions made by guild members.
