Virginia gave a wonderful program on giving and gifting.

She shared many ideas for quick and easy gifts that quilters can make and also shared fat quarters and kleenex holders with all the members.

She told us about a worthy cause that makes soft comfy gowns for women who have had breast cancer surgery.

She also shared a cute idea for a tissue box cover. The ideas were appreciated by all. Thank you Virginia!!

Scrappy quilt made by Vanessa from one of the scrap fabric exchange groups she belongs too. She wanted to see how green would look as a background color and was pleased with the results.

October 2023

Sandy Stitcher's basket for quilt fest.

The basket was put together by Marsha who did a great job! She included item from members including a quilt, books, and fat quarters.

The folded fat quarter stars proved attractive to bidders. Marsha told us our basket sold for 300 dollars... the second highest amount!!

Jill entered a couple of quilts into the Springville Museum Quilt show this year. This quilt was awarded an honorable mention!!

Barbara's presentation for October was great.

She showed us a neat trick to achieve perfect circle shapes with the sewing machine.

She taped a thumbtack to the bed of her machine, demonstrated the technique and then showed several examples of what can be done with this technique.

She shared a layout for a quilt that has 13 blocks. This will be useful for those pondering how to put together the 13 flower blocks from the exchange.
