September 2018

Virginia did the presentation of the quilts to Sgt. Jason Nielson, Brandon Colton, and Officer Pat Radke

Sandy Stitchers members made many quilts for the police to give to victims

Thanks Virginia for coordinating this for us!

Diane has borders on her completed Block of the Month top

Cory from Quilts presented the program for September all about Color

She showed us that when you mix red and green with paint it turns brown

But when you mix red light and green light it makes yellow

Cory did many interesting studies with color

She also likes to experiment with color runs

In this example she used two colors that Tula Pink used later in one of her fabric designs

The original colors that Cory started with

An exercise using paint chips to develop a color run

Flower study

She also likes making stars with different numbers of points.

Cory used colors not in her usual tool box
