January 2017

First of all apologies to Lisa and Peggy.  I inadvertently forgot to post these two pictures to December's post!

Peggy had several requests to teach us how to make this cute bag!

Got a nice surprise when Kathy Souba sent me this picture! It is her completed 2015 BOM.

If you are doing the BOM this year you can print a PDF of the instructions.

Tina showed the first BOM, demo'd half square triangle construction methods and recommended the LOC BLOCK ruler.

Jill our new president gave a program on paper piecing.

Some of Jill's amazing miniatures done with paper piecing.

Jill also has a blog, Apple Avenue Quilts where there are some free paper piecing designs.

She passed out a pineapple potholder pattern to all and recommended using insulbrite batting.

Marsha has been busy making quilts for her adult kids.

Pam took a Marti Michell class and made two quilts

Pam or her son did the quilting

Barbara made masculine snap bags in denim for Christmas gifts.

Cathie's progress on the Splendid Sampler Blocks. She had 34 done at the first of the year.

One of last year's BOM turned into a pillow cover.
