Donna paid 50$ for this antique beauty

Results of the flower block exchange! After working on the blocks all year participants got to see all of the blocks and take them home. Next we will be seeing how everyone puts them together

Peggy introduced her friend Andrea who gave us a wonderful trunk show

Andrea has an interesting way of presenting her quilts. She divides them into Pre 911 and after 911. This is one of her first quilts taught by Cody.

This was her first attempt at applique

Her scrappy "Kaffe" quilt

After 911 Andrea agreed to make a quilt  to honor members lost from the Port Authority Police Department of NY/NJ.

Because of this she was able to go to New York and attend a memorial of 911 there. Her story was so interesting and this is only a small part of it.
This table runner is made of silk 4 patches

A miniature made with a John Flynn laser cut quilt kit. She said it took her forever to complete.

In 2014 she joined the Kaffe and friends quilt group. This one is all hand appliqued.

She redrafted the Gypsy Wife Quilt and called it Boho Heart

Also made one in black. She was able to work with Jen Kingwell. Andrea said this pattern works well for orphan blocks.

She used Allison Glass fabrics for "Glass Candy"

All in all it was a fabulous trunk show and a great treat for all who were there in September.
Many thanks to Andrea and Peggy!
