We had another meeting on Zoom in June.  Peggy showed us a power point presentation on disappearing blocks that was very informative. About 10 of us were at the meeting and some shared quilts they had done with the disappearing block method. Peggy showed us that when putting disappearing blocks together you can come up with some great secondary patterns.  It looks like a lot of fun to play with.  Following is some show and tell that was emailed to me (quiltc@aol.com) .  If you email some pictures I will get them on the blog!  Also don't forget to look at Jill's post that shows what orphan block bundles are still available for you.  Peggy will drop them off if you are interested!

Barbara told us how she likes her lock block ruler to square up half square triangles. Jill likes to put this medical tape on the back of her rulers so that they don't slip around while cutting.  Cathie likes the Quilter's Select rulers by Alex Anderson that have a grippy surface on the back.  You can get the tape at Walmart.  I tried it on some of my rulers that don't have anything on the back and it works. It also worked to tape up a pattern on my window that I was tracing. It is repositionable and about  2.98 for two rolls.

Barbara has been trying a new quilt as you go  technique for hexagons.  She is using the 2.5 inch hexagon ruler from Missouri Star Quilts.  This is the back of her table topper.
