September's Meeting

Our meeting this month was full of inspirations(as usual)! So let's get right to it. First of all we had many ladies contribute comfort quilts to the Murray Police Department. Thank you so much ladies and my apologies, I think I didn't get pictures of all the quilts, but here are the ones I did get pictures of.

Next, here are pictures of guild donations to be auctioned off at two upcoming events. First is a cauldron and very cute witch quilt for the Annual Meeting of the Utah Quilt Guild. Then a beautiful quilt will be headed to the Holiday Show in November.

Now on to Block of the Month. Pat is doing a wonderful job with wonderful instructions and a beautiful example. Thanks so very much Pat!!! First is Pat's quilt then the members showed us their progress.

Brenda Bell presented an awesome trunk show. Thanks so very much for all the inspiration and wise words!

Finally we had some wonderful show and tell, with finished projects and soon to be finished projects.

August 2013 Meeting

This month's meeting was a work meeting. We were working lap size quilts to donate to the Sandy City Police Department. The quilts will be given to victims of crimes as comfort quilts. The quilts are mainly intended for children. We were able to tie many quilts and still more went home with members to complete there.

  And the results...

Here's an update on the progress being made on this years BOM.

Another version of the quilt to be made at this year's retreat.
This is the little witch quilt that will be included in the basket headed for the Utah Quilt Guild's annual meeting.
Last but not least some show and tell.

Our July meeting was fun and we accomplished so much!
First, we had some ladies show us some of there blocks for the "Forever in Bluejeans" contest.
Then these ladies shared their progress on the the guilds BOM. Many thanks to Pat for all her hard work to see that we have wonderful patterns each month!

Then we made cute little owl necklaces. The picture at the bottom of the series show all of our cute little guys.

We also had many projects shared during sharing time...Some new, some finished UFO's, and some new UFO's that need to get finished.
